Update 0.86


With the latest update you can now create some ground (terrain) from a simple heightmap with a new behavior. 

Even more significant in my opinion is the added ability to use picking rays.

There's two actions for this. One conveniently casting a ray straight forward from the active camera which obviously is perfect for hit detection in first person scenarios.

  • added Baby 3D plugin action "Forward ray from active camera"
  • added Baby 3D plugin action "Any ray"
  • added Baby 3D plugin condition "On hit" triggering when forward ray hits pickable object
  • added Baby 3D plugin condition "On any hit" triggering when any ray hits pickable object
  • added Baby 3D plugin expressions "hitX", "hitY", "hitZ" and "hitMesh" to be used with the conditions just listed
  • added B3D Box, Plane and Cylinder behavior property "Pickable" determining whether mesh can be hit by ray
  • new behavior B3D Heightmap creating ground from a heightmap 
  • new example included showing off heightmap and ray interaction
